Originally shipped to Yamano Music in Japan. The colour is Sunrise Tea Burst (STB) ñ originally a colour description only for Yamano orders. This very limited 2003 Ultra-Aged run produced 25 guitars. This guitar has wide tiger stripe eastern maple with some curl and an incredible 3D effect in the figure. It's got that 'peek-a-boo' flame effect from different angles and colouring like some of the original '50's 'bursts. The finish and aging on this one is very similar to the Gary Rossington Les Paul model with the only real difference being that this R9 has nickel and not gold hardware. I fell in love with the authentic looking top on this one. Just like a couple of my favourite 'bursts. Sounds and plays exceptionally well, thanks in part to the neck, which is unlike the majority of R9 necks I've played. This is much more like an original 1959 neck profile. Fitted with a mixture of replica parts and original vintage parts.
