This amazing 1960 re-issue is the VERY FIRST official R0 of the 2003 Brazilian production run. Only 85 of these rare R0's were produced with certified Brazilian Rosewood fretboards.
(Serial numbers 03001-03010 are prototypes (except for 03007 which is not a proto) and 03002 (2002 specs)), and 2 of these are LP Specials).
One hell of a player. 8.6 pounds. Old-looking eastern maple top and cherry burst is gorgeous. The flitch matched top shows just the right amount of mineral streaking, curly 3D flame, and even a couple of birds eyes. Just beautiful!
Original 1960 double-ring single-line Klusons, 1960 reflector knobs, 'over the pond' pickup rings and 'double whites' PAFs.
