The intense and deep 'Killer' flame top on this rare beauty has to be seen to be believed... it's really 3D! Lightweight too (8.2 LBs), with incredibly resonant wood producing great tones. Acoustically it vibrates all over. As-new condition with hang tags and no modifications (except for some original 1959 bonnet knobs, because I don't like the stock knobs). I have been told it looks a bit like 9 0837 on the www.burstserial.com site. (The guitar on the front cover of Kunio Kishida's TONE MAN book). A very comfortable, not-too-chunky neck, with lovely dark rosewood. IMO, one of the best R9 Les Paul flametops ever produced. The Holy Grail!
